Arkansas Power Pitcher, Darci Fountain Chooses Firecrackers DFW
The state of Arkansas has produced yet another top 2017 pitcher prospect. Darci Fountain boast a 62 mph fastball and has reached highs of 66 mph. The Freshman sensation is long. She's incredibly explosive. She's tough as railroad nails. The kid is relentless... She's a Firecracker. "What's sick is the kid is still developing!" says Martin Poole, Director of Firecrackers DFW, CTX and WTX, who just returned from a visit to SoCal with Tony Rico.
The phenom showed up to Texas last weekend with two pitches - a fastball and a wicked change up. After two games and workouts in between, she drove away with a hard- breaking drop-curve and a rise ball that made an immediate impact. That's talent - a talented rising star who got to work with former University of Texas All-American pitcher, Meagan Denny, during the Sunday Firecrackers Round Robin Showdown. Firecrackers players are used to working out under the guidance of former and current College All-Americans, Olympic Coaches, including current and former college coaching legends. The brand Darci is now a part of translates to the college softball experience. Darci Fountain will step onto a college campus in 2016 ready to lead her team to conference championships. She'll be an even better human being. Darci and her Firecrackers DFW-Poullard team is participating in the Tulsa Elite Invitational this weekend.
